The market is constantly changing. Innovation, the defining force behind business disruption, is increasingly shaping new ways to address scalability and sustainability challenges. We are witnessing a significant shift in how large organizations approach design, particularly in internal processes and innovation.

In this landscape, where competition intensifies and customer experience becomes central to business health, companies are continually seeking ways to adapt. Moving forward and proposing new initiatives takes more than just using the word "innovation" and expecting it to solve everything, as if by magic.

For innovation to succeed, companies need to build an organizational culture that values experimentation and continuous learning. This requires committed leadership, investment in research and development, collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, and a mindset that balances long-term ambition with the continuity of day-to-day operations. In this context, Design Driven emerges as a methodology that places design at the center of the development process for products, services, and solutions.

Design Driven approach: acceleration and continuity

At this point, there is a growing need to see design as a tool that looks ahead to drive sustainable business strategies and innovate in ways that last. This role is critical to building companies and societies that are resilient, responsible, and adaptable.

Still emerging but equally important and aligned with the same perspective on sustainable innovation, Transition Design offers an approach focused on creating solutions and interventions that facilitate the movement from a current state to a desired one. This methodology is often applied in contexts of change, whether at the individual, organizational, or social level.

Transition Design draws on methods and practices to identify and address the challenges associated with change processes. This may include developing strategies to support the adoption of new practices or behaviors and to ensure smooth, effective transitions.

Transition Design is frequently grounded in principles of co-creation and participation, involving relevant stakeholders in the design and implementation of transition solutions. It can also incorporate elements of design thinking, systems thinking, and collaborative approaches to develop interventions that account for a wide range of perspectives and needs.
